The electronic knee module "AKTIV-2" provides comfortable and safe walking by means of hydraulics and microprocessor control. "AKTIV-2" is designed for use in above-knee amputation and is intended to restore the lost functions of the knee joint.
The microprocessor continuously analyzes the data received from sensors and uses it to control the prosthesis by changing the settings of the hydraulic system of the knee module. This monitors the user's movement patterns, changes in motor activity and the type of support surface.
Changes in hydraulic settings are instantaneous and completely unnoticeable to the user, allowing them to descend stairs and inclined surfaces without having to think about their next step. "ACTIV-2" increases the user's confidence and independence, reduces the risk of tripping, falls and provides balanced hip movement.
